A lot of people thought that the “King of Rock and Roll” would never actually marry anyone. But then Priscilla Ann Beaulieu came along and he proposed to her in December of 1966.
The world, at that time, went totally nuts, especially women. Elvis was also famous for his extravagant costumes, but he actually decided to just wear a classic black tuxedo for his wedding day. He looked dashing!
And of course, for the couple’s first dance, they picked one of Elvis’ greatest hits, “Love Me Tender.”
