Ventriloquist Señor Wences – 1966 Ed Sullivan Show

When you look at the way comedy has progressed through the years, you might be surprised to find out what some people considered funny just 50 years ago. While many individuals from that generation would still laugh out loud when they heard some of that comedy today, some of the younger generation might not find it so funny. There are many examples of this, including some old TV shows that have gone by the wayside.

Of course, there are also some types of humor that have stood the test of time and continue to amuse audiences, even down to this day. An example of this is what can be seen in this vintage video clip from 1966. It was when Señor Wences appeared on the Ed Sullivan show and he brought along some amusing characters with him. He is a ventriloquist, and you would be amazed with the talent that he displays.

During the time that the Ed Sullivan show was on TV, he appeared 48 times. He also had shows on Broadway, and when people watch the video clips today, regardless of whether they are young or old, they have to admit it is funny.
