The world lost another one of its well-known celebrities on Christmas when George Michael passed away. He is not only known for his music, he is also known for being a very kind individual. Nobody knew that better than his friend Elton John, and he took a moment to give a speech at a concert that he was performing in the Coliseum of Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas.
During the concert, he dedicated the song “Don’t Let the Sun Go down on Me” to George Michael, whom he referred to as his “Beloved Friend.” He had been a friend of his since he was a part of Wham! And not only hung out with him, he also played music with him and recorded songs with him as well. The news came on the heels of other things that he was on the road to recovery to good health.
Elton John told his friends who were not familiar with Michael’s songs that they should listen to them and hear all of the music that he created throughout his career. He knew him as being kind individual, who was charitable without letting anyone know.
