These days, Platten is still churning out music, and she also has accomplished a lot in life. It may only have been a decade since that original song was released, but now she has written a new song called Girls, and it is inspiring.
This song was originally written for her two daughters but she was about to do something that people around the world are falling in love with. Her neighbor came to her concert and it turns out she is 100 years old.
Gloria, her neighbor, wanted to hear Platten singing her song, so she decided to come along to the concert. What she wasn’t expecting was for the singer to give her a shout-out in a way that is sending chills down the spines of people around the world.

What many people don’t know is that Platten was not always as sure of her music as she is today. She confided in Gloria about this, and Gloria suggested that she have a second child.

“You said if you have the second baby, I promise you, your music will take off again,” Platten recalls. “And after having that baby, I wrote a song to both of my daughters to tell them what I want them to know in the world.”
Gloria suggested that she write another song and she sat down at the piano and sang the song for her. You can really see Gloria getting emotional as the music is playing.
