There are certain songs that have been sung by many singers but there is always one that stands out head and shoulders above the rest. The Rose is just one of those songs and it has been sung by everyone from Conway Twitty to LeeAnn Rimes. The performance by Bette Midler, however, is one that will send chills up and down your spine. The popular song, The Rose, was originally recorded in 1979 by Amanda McBroom.
It appeared on the soundtrack for the movie “The Rose” as the song for the closing credits. Since that time, however, it has become one of the most beloved songs in all history.
