We sometimes hear stories about corporations that tend to ignore the common people, even though they may have the best idea of all time. For example, it is rumored that the person who came up with the idea for sticky notes was ignored by many companies and the person who came up with the idea for Velcro had a hard time getting it off the ground.
Regardless of whether those stories are true or not, this story about a 26-year-old student is absolutely true. His name is Eugen Merher, and he created a spec advert for Adidas. After creating it, he tried to send it to their communications department but they didn’t react. So he did what any 26-year-old person of today would do, he posted it online. It has gone massively viral.
The story is about a former marathon runner who is spending his senior years at a retirement home. He is rather unhappy with life, until he finds an old pair of Adidas and decides to do something about it. Adidas should have listened.
