I love watching stand-up comedian’s especially ones that don’t need to revert to foul or degrading language. To me, that is weak humour as anyone can throw a few curse words out here and there. The real skill to being a top performer is to have the audience engaged and listening carefully, waiting for the punch line that you deliver with perfect timing.
What I truly love and admire is when the comedian tells a story or paints a picture. When they talk about their family and draw you in, so it is almost like you were there.
That’s what happens in this stand-up comedy routine. The lady is funny just by the timing and the stories she tells. She never is nasty or degrading to anyone, and yet she still has the audience in fits of laughter. That’s what makes a top performer.
