There’s nothing quite like a good laugh. It doesn’t matter if you are starting a day with a laugh or if you just need a chuckle in the middle of the afternoon, it can pick up your spirits and prepare you for the rest of the day. Of course, there are certain things that will always make you laugh and others that may just make you laugh the first time you hear it. When it comes to Abbot and Costello and the timeless “who’s on first” routine, the laughs just keep coming.
Abbott and Costello have performed together since 1936. They were in several different movies and they had a number of skits that everyone loved but there was nothing quite like this routine. They had this so timed out that they could shrink or expand it, depending upon what they needed to fill in some time on the show.
Although there are a number of different versions circulating of this comedy routine, we feel that this one is the absolute best. It is a 1953 performance and if you don’t laugh while you’re watching it, you better get your laugh checked.
