As Christmas time gets closer, we begin hearing Christmas carols playing everywhere. It typically starts sometime late in November and they are played at the stores to begin putting us in the mood for Christmas shopping. As December progresses, we hear them more and more and we start hearing them on the radio or we may hear them played at work. Some of us even play Christmas carols at home.
Although there are a lot of Christmas carols to choose from, a favourite for many people is “O Holy Night.” You have likely heard it many times in the past sung by a variety of artists but when you hear this 11-year-old girl singing it, you’re going to be absolutely blown away. She has such a powerful voice and you are guaranteed goosebumps from her performance.
O Holy Night is one of the more well-known Christmas carols and it has been around for almost 2 centuries. It was first composed in 1847 from a French Christmas poem. Since that time, it has become one of the most popular Christmas carols of all time.
