Mother Raccoon teaches kit how to climb a tree

Raccoon babies look to their mothers to teach them how to survive in the nature. Raccoons are very smart and skilled at different activities including climbing, adapting and figuring things out. The little ones look to their mothers to learn the ways of the world and how to survive in nature.

Mother raccoons are very hands on and they give their babies the guidance they need for surviving on their own. Father raccoons, on the other hand are usually not allowed near their babies. Young raccoon’s education involves how to properly climb trees where they are safe and away from animals that prey on them.
