There is something special in the world of dance when you get to see a fantastic tap dance. That amazing sound, speed and agility, coupled with the click of the shoes as they hit the floor, always interested and impressed me. In recent years, Irish dancing has become huge thanks largely to the show “Riverdance”. This dance off is set on a huge stage, and the initial and only participants are two Tap dancers. They perform amazingly, particularly when dancing down the steps, a move that must be fraught with danger. But at some point the violin starts to play, causing some confusion amongst the tap dancers.
Three Irish dancers then come out onto the stage and the most amazing dance-off takes place with both groups determined to outperform the other. As is normal with a dance off each performance by one group is outdone by the next and so it goes on. Eventually, sanity is restored and they realise how amazing it would be if they performed together.
Sure, I accept this was all scripted and planned from the very start, but regardless of that you can plan all you like but you still have to be able to perform. If you have any interest in dance whatsoever this is a must watch video, and if you enjoy it, please share it with your Facebook friends.
