Many of us are familiar with Jim Nabors because of his television roles, playing Gomer Pyle on the Andy Griffith show and again on his own show, Gomer Powell, USMC. Although his laughable and lovable character is memorable, his singing is the stuff that legends are made of!
In this clip from an old Gomer Pyle, USMC television show, he is nervous before he is supposed to perform for the Navy Relief show. When someone talks him into going on stage, he starts singing and absolutely floors everyone in the audience! It’s his real voice, and it is awesome!
