Most of us would receive a gift of $100 quite happily but if we were told to spend it on groceries, we would certainly spend it differently than anyone else who spend it on groceries. After all, some of us may see the $100 as an opportunity to care for family in a special way while others of us may think of it as a special treat and indulge ourselves.
Eight different people were each given $100 and told to go buy groceries. It was done so that it could be seen how they would spend the money. The people who were given $100 were quite varied, and included a college student, a software engineer, an unemployed couple and a bartender.
This type of public service announcement is rather interesting, because it can give us insight in many different ways. Not only does it help us to see how other people may react in this type of a situation, it could also help us to determine how we would react as well. By watching other people in specific areas, it helps us to learn more about ourselves and this video is rather telling.
