Ask any parent and they will tell you, it only takes a split second for a disaster to happen. In order for your children to grow up safely, it requires your constant attention and accidents may take place anytime, anywhere. Of course, there is no way for a parent to ever constantly pay attention to their children and accidents are going to be a part of growing up. At times, however, those accidents can be devastating.
When Tila Levia was changing her 11-month-old son, she turned her back for only a split second and the unthinkable happened. The young baby rolled off of the changing table but fortunately, his nine-year-old brother was standing close by and he was paying attention. With cat-like reflexes, he jumped over and grabbed his baby, snatching him out of the air and quite possibly saving his life.
Believe it or not, these types of accidents at the changing table are some of the most common, yet they are also some of the more dangerous. Always make sure that you pay attention, because you may just not have a nine-year-old standing by to assist you.
