Uptown Funk has become one of the biggest songs of recent years, smashing chart records and selling copies like crazy. With a wonderful and catchy beat, it is no wonder the song has been so successful, but it also turned out to be the perfect tune for groups of people to learn special dances to it.
I have seen videos of police officers dancing to this song, babies and numerous other groups, but this next video is really special. The military pride themselves on their drill. Looking smart, working together as a team and marching together to perfection is not just the normal for the military it’s the expectation.
But dancing to music is not quite the same skill set as marching so it will be interesting to see how a large group of Norwegian naval officers get on. Obviously, this has been practised and worked on for a long time, and potentially it could do with a little more work. But when you consider the number of people in this dance the difficulty of the choreography and the concentration this takes it is an amazing performance. Add in the fact that these are military personnel and not dancers. Plus ladies, loads of men in uniform dancing, what’s not to love?
