It Is Official, Freddie Mercury Was The Best Singer Of All Time

Well, finally what I have known to be the case for many years has been proven by the use of science. Freddie Mercury was the best singer to have ever walked the earth. Now before anyone gets annoyed and angry with me, I am referring to a scientific experiment conducted by scientists from Austria, Czechoslovakia and Sweden. So the first thing to notice here is that none of these scientists are from Mercury’s native Britain so that rules out any bias in the survey.

The range and control that Freddie had in his voice was quite simply amazing, and I don’t think the world will ever forget this amazing performer. I don’t particularly want to go into the scientific explanation as it’s quite technical and not especially interesting but if you want to read it the findings are here. The simple version is that the average vibrato varies from 5.4 Hz to 6.9 Hz; Mercury’s was 7.04 Hz. So because he had a much larger range that makes him the best singer ever.

Ok, I might admit that this is ever so slightly tenuous but when you are as big a fan of Freddie as I am then you will grab onto any piece of scientific fact to back up your argument. And who could blame me? Watch the great man perform once again in the video below.
