There is something that happens at animal shelters around the world on a daily basis and most people don’t stop to think about it. It is the issue with euthanasia, and many dogs and cats die in this way, basically because of a lack of room or funds at the shelter. That was almost the case this little dog, Edie.
When Edie was at the shelter, she was so fearful of humans that she couldn’t even stand to be around them. In fact, she was only one hour from being euthanized when she got a second chance at life from somebody that had a caring heart. When she came to realise that he was there for her, her entire demeanor changed and it is wonderful to see.
Far too often, dogs are overlooked at the shelter because they are misunderstood. Every animal deserves a chance and when you give them the opportunity, you might just find that you have a friend beyond compare.
