There is nothing like the love of a mother, and many of us have experienced the truthfulness of that statement throughout out lives. They seem to be the one that cares for us through thick and thin and it doesn’t matter what situation we find ourselves in, they are there to stand by our side.
We often think about motherly love with humans but, as you will see in this video, it is something that can be found in any animal. They will often take care of their young and in some cases, they may even care for the youngsters of others, even if they are of a different species. That is seen in this clip, which shows a chicken showing some motherly love to a young kitten by laying on her and keeping her warm.
Some people will tell you that animals don’t have feelings like humans but I disagree. They may sometimes be acting on instinct but when you stop to think about it, so are humans in many cases. Perhaps we are not so different after all.
