It is a scene that happens in schools around the world on a daily basis. The children lined up to get their lunch and, in many cases, it is a lunch that is provided by the school. Admittedly, some children may get a lunch that is packed at home but the majority of them are going to get the school lunch and they rely on the cafeteria to provide them with something good to eat.
Some students are going to complain about the food that they receive but others are going to appreciate the fact that they get a warm meal on a daily basis. In this particular school, lunchtime became a stressful situation for this cafeteria worker. According to school policy, if the parent owes more than $25 in lunch money, the student would get a cold sandwich rather than a hot lunch.
The former cafeteria worker in this video was heartbroken when she had to take one of the lunches back from a student who owed money. She had already given him chicken and his eyes filled with tears when she told him he couldn’t have it. It was then that she left her job and is now trying to change policy.
