He Plants Trees In The Same Spot Every Single Day. In 37 Years, He’s Speechless By What He Created!

When someone sets their mind to completing a task, the possibilities are endless. Whilst teamwork will inevitably get you to your goal quicker, if you are determined to stick at something to achieve your goal, then you can achieve anything. And much like saving money, or revising for an exam, little and often is the key.

The man in the video, Jadav Payeng, has been working to achieve his goal since 1979. Devastated at the destruction that agricultural development and human involvement had caused to his home Island of Majuli and neighboring Jorhat he decided the only way the forest was going to be restored to its previous splendor was if he took it upon himself to rebuild it, tree by tree. So for the past thirty-seven years, he has planted trees in the area. The size of his forest is now 550 hectares large, to put that into perspective Central Park in New York is 341 Hectares, so you can see what a magnificent achievement this one man has accomplished on his own.

The forest has now become home to some elephants, rhino, deer and tigers. Understandably very protective of his forest, Jadav says “I tell them, cutting my trees will get you nothing. Cut me before you cut my trees!” This is a remarkable achievement and such a wonderful effort, please share this story and publicize this man’s wonderful work.
