They Built A Greenhouse Around Their Home To Keep It Warm And Grow Their Own Food

Many people are interested in the environment, and they do what is necessary to reduce their carbon footprint. Some of them may take up recycling and others might try making compost to grow their own garden, but in either case, it can have an impact when all is said and done. From time to time, however, you hear about somebody who takes things to the next level.

Charles Sacilotto and Marie Grammar live in Sweden, and they decided to build a glass house. It’s not a glass house in the way that you might be thinking but rather, they built their house inside of a greenhouse. By building a greenhouse around their home, they are able to keep it warm in the winter time and grow their own food.

During the day, the sunlight enters the windows and heats the home. During the night, the residual heat that is left from the daytime sunlight is enough to keep the environment warm on the inside. The garden that they grow can be grown year-round, so it even helps them to save money while they are saving the environment.
