They Adopted 2 Girls But When They Wake Up, There Is Hate Filled Graffiti Spray Painted On Their Home

There are many people who make a decision to adopt young children and in most cases, they are applauded for their efforts. For this family, who lives in a small town, it began a frustrating chain of events that ended with graffiti being painted all over their house. That graffiti, which included words such as “retards” and “get outta here” was a shock to everyone.

The Hollis family adopted two young girls from the Ukraine. Those young girls, Meg and Alina, both have Down syndrome and the day that they brought them home was a day that changed the entire family in a positive sense forever. After the graffiti was painted on the house, they decided that it was necessary to speak out about it so their two sons put together a video that they entitled “Speak up for our sisters.”

Those two boys, ages 6 and 7 put the video out in an attempt to get people to stop using the word retard. It is a touching video and it truly is a shame that a family such as this has to go through such an ordeal in their lives.
