Her Teenage Daughter Wouldn’t Clean Her Room So She Threw Away All Of Her Stuff

Ask any parent who has a teenage child and they will tell you that it can be difficult to keep things under control from time to time. That was the case with Alice Velasquez, who kept trying to get her teenage daughters to clean their rooms but the mess just kept getting bigger and bigger. Finally, she had enough and decided it was time to teach her daughters some responsibility.

In her words, “What do you do when you are done telling your teenage daughters to stop letting the room look like homeless people live there?” Her solution was to throw everything into plastic bags. She wasn’t choosy in what she threw away, she put it in the bags exactly as it was found in the room. That is why one bag may have had anything from a laptop and a comb to trash it.

In order to get there “stuff” back, they had to pay $25 per bag and they didn’t know what was on the inside. They can only use the $25 if it was earned from doing chores around the home. Sounds like a little tough love to me.
