We have 5 different senses that we can fall back on and many of us take them for granted. We use them to interact with the world around us in different ways. At times, somebody may be missing one of those senses and it can truly affect them on a very deep level. In fact, most people would have a difficult time choosing which one of their senses to give up.
When you have your sense of sight, you use it to examine the world around you but when you are blind, you sometimes don’t know what you are missing. That was the case with a man named Gene, who suffered from a condition that only allowed him see hazy outlines of what was in front of him. He then got a tremendous gift, a pair of eSight glasses, which allow people to see things when they have a severe vision impairment.
When he put on the glasses, he got the biggest smile on his face and looked over toward his wife. It is a moment that he is likely never to forget and when he said those unforgettable words, it made it a moment she would not forget as well.
