He Saved More Than 600 Lives During The Holocaust And Many Come Together To Surprise Him

There are many people throughout history who have helped others, but some went out of the way and as a result, they made a significant difference on mankind. That was the case with Sir Nicholas Winton, British man who organised the passage of over 600 individuals to safety during World War II.

The people that he saved were primarily Jewish Czechoslovakian children and without his assistance, they would have likely ended up in Nazi death camps. This was during the time before World War II began and it was an operation known as Czech Kindertransport. Although many people are unaware that this situation occurred, the 669 individuals that he saved are certainly aware of what took place. As a matter of fact, many of them came together in an amazing way to honour this man and they took him by surprise.

He sat in a theater surrounded by people that he didn’t know, but when they asked for anyone who was touched by this man and had their life saved, the audience came to their feet. It was then that he realised he was actually surrounded by the very people that he had saved so many years ago.
