When you are standing before a judge in a court of law, there are certain procedures that must be followed. This varies from one case to another but in any instance, there is a degree of respect that must be shown for the judge and their position. If you choose not to show that respect, you are likely going to pay for it in the end. That is what this woman discovered all too quickly.
A person was being sentenced for killing somebody in a car accident while driving under the influence. A woman who was a family member decided it was a good time to start talking and laughing while the sentencing was taking place. One of them was told to leave and the other was soon to follow. As the woman was walking out of the courtroom, however, she decided to disrespect the judge by smirking.
That behavior was absolutely uncalled for and since she decided to be disrespectful, she gets to spend 93 days in the county jail. Even if you disagree with the decision, some respect is required and this woman found out just how much.
