Debbie Reynolds Has Passed Away, One Day After Daughter, Carrie Fisher

Debbie Reynolds, who is probably best known for her part in the musical, “Singin’ in the Rain,” has passed away at the age of 84. I took place as a result of a stroke and only one day after Carrie Fisher, her daughter, passed away. This news came from her son, Todd, who was there when she was taken to the hospital.

It was shortly after 1 PM when Todd called 911 in order to ask for assistance after his mother had suffered from a possible stroke. Todd and Debbie were making plans at the time for Carrie, who had died just one day earlier after suffering from cardiac arrest. She was rushed to the hospital but, unfortunately, they were unable to revive her. This is devastating news, not only for the family but for all of us who held her so dear.

Debbie has been in the news quite a few times in her life, including her divorce with Eddie Fisher after his affair with Elizabeth Taylor. She remarried in 1960 and again in 1964. She was also known for additional roles in films, including The Unsinkable Molly Brown. She will be dearly missed.
